ICT Learning in Primary 1
Primary 1 have been enjoying their visits to the ICT suite, where they have been developing early computing skills through play-based learning. The children were excited to learn how to use a mouse, practising how to drag and click with growing confidence. As they explored different activities on the computers, they were also able to reinforce their counting skills, working with numbers up to 10.
In addition to their computer work, Primary 1 were introduced to simple programming using the Beebots. They learned how to use directional language and gave instructions to make the Beebots move forward, backwards, and turn. This hands-on experience helped the children understand sequencing and direction in a fun and engaging way.
Throughout their ICT sessions, the class also had opportunities to recap some of their common words, supporting early literacy alongside digital skills.
Primary 1 have made fantastic progress and had great fun learning through ICT!
