Primary 1 have had a wonderful time learning about sunflowers as part of their classroom learning. The children explored the different parts of a sunflower, including the roots, stem, leaves, petals, and seeds, and learned about what plants need to grow and stay healthy.
They enjoyed planting their own sunflower seeds and have been carefully watering and looking after them, watching eagerly for changes each day. As part of their learning, the children also expressed their creativity by making sunflower artwork, using forks to create textured petal patterns. The classroom is now brightened with their colourful sunflower creations and growing plants, and the children are very proud of their work.
