Primary 2 Gardening and Spring Fun
Primary 2 have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about gardening and planting this term. We have been busy planting a variety of flowers and vegetables and learning how to care for them as they grow.
We were delighted when Mr McKee came to give us a helping hand as we planted potatoes and pumpkins. Together, we prepared the ground, planted our seeds, and have been carefully looking after them by watering them regularly. We also made colourful signs to label everything we are growing.
In the classroom, we used pastels to draw some of the beautiful flowers that have begun to grow, developing our creativity while linking our artwork to the world around us.
While enjoying the spring season and watching nature come to life, we had lots of fun in Harbour Wood, where we made flower crowns and explored the outdoors. We also watched and learned together as we took part in a bear hunt, using it to practise our positional language.
