Primary 2 Winter Art Adventures
Primary 2 have been busy exploring their creativity this winter through a range of exciting art activities!
Starry Night Inspired Art
The children loved learning about the artist Vincent Van Gogh and studying his famous painting Starry Night. They began by sketching swirling patterns in pencil, just like Van Gogh’s iconic brushstrokes.
Next, they used cotton buds and paint on tinfoil to recreate the colourful, textured swirls of the night sky. When all the pieces were put together, the final artwork looked absolutely beautiful. The children were very proud of their magical starry scenes!
Snowmen Chalk Art
To continue the winter theme, Primary 2 followed step-by-step instructions to create their own chalk snowmen. Each child had the chance to design and style their snowman in their own unique way—adding scarves, hats, buttons and lots of personality.
Every snowman turned out fantastic, and the children showed great imagination and independence in their designs.
Well done, Primary 2! Your winter artwork has certainly brightened our school.
