Primary 6 Trip to Titanic Belfast

13th Nov 2025

Primary 6 enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Titanic Belfast as part of their World Around Us topic. The pupils explored the interactive galleries, discovering how the famous ship was designed, built, and launched in their very own city. They were fascinated by the stories of the workers who constructed the ship and amazed by the life-sized recreations that helped bring history to life.

During the trip, pupils took part in hands on activities, examined artefacts, and learned more about the passengers and crew who travelled on Titanic’s maiden voyage. The immersive experiences—such as the Shipyard Ride and the underwater exploration cinema—helped deepen their understanding of how the ship was recovered and studied by historians today.

The visit was a fantastic opportunity for Primary 6 to connect their classroom learning to a real historical site. They returned to school full of enthusiasm, ready to continue exploring their topic with a richer appreciation of Belfast’s maritime past.
